The 12 days of Christmas design in Gold is OH SO BEAUTIFUL. Some 2 months ago I took my first gold work workshop with Mike Parr. I enjoyed it so much I am excited learn more Gold Work Techniques.

I haven’t yet had the opportunity to do any goldwork but plan to this year. It adds so much to a piece.

I took 2 classes in gold work after I became interested in ecclesiastical embroidery. I made a chasuble, stole and burse for my church using gold threads, silk, velvet and beads on the orphreys on front and back. It took me 2 years, but it was worth it. I loved working with the gold threads.

I love Goldwork because it has the ‘wow’ factor.

Barbara Ann Low

I much admire the skill and beauty of goldwork and am very excited to have enrolled in “Goldwork Embroidery: Essential Techniques” offered through Craftsy. I almost have all the materials needed to start, plus a slate frame. It’s a privilege to learn goldwork and to be connected with the women who kept this beautiful needlework alive, passing it on to future generations.

Jana Fouladpour

I have had very little experience with gold work. Years ago, I took a needlepoint class from a national teacher and the project required gold to be couched down. I have never finished the piece. What a pity, too, because it was so beautiful.

Sharon Sparks

I have always wanted to try goldwork, but have never gotten the courage. However, I have been giving more thought to trying after seeing some of your kits that are absolutely beautiful.

Gillianne Adams

I am not naturally drawn to gold work. In fact anything shiny or twinkly I tend to avoid. I would be happy to be proven wrong, especially as this week I gave in and added some beading to my work and am secretly quite pleased with it.
Thank you.
