This November, our beloved annual Lady Anne’s Needlework Festival returns — and this year, we’re turning our attention to one of Scotland’s most majestic stately homes: Glamis Castle.
For two weeks, beginning 15 November, we’ll explore the textile treasures of Glamis and the remarkable women whose artistry brought them to life. Our collaboration with Glamis stretches back decades, and we’re thrilled to finally share the full story woven through 400 years of history, heritage, and embroidery.
At the heart of this year’s festival is a rich programme of lectures, a brand-new three-part film, and 12 inspiring workshops, each drawing directly from the exquisite designs and techniques found in the Glamis textile collection. Whether you’re deepening your practice or picking up your first needle, there’s something here to ignite your imagination.

Alongside the Glamis-inspired designs, we’ll also be offering new technique workshops to help you build essential embroidery skills.

Our core tutor team — Phillipa Turnbull, Kate Barlow, Deborah Wilding, Zina Kazban, and Natalie Dupuis — will be joined by special guest Di Kirchner from Australia and the much-anticipated return of Hazel Blomkamp, celebrating the launch of our new joint book.
