Two Birds & a Squirrel (2026)

Two Birds & a Squirrel (2026)

The purpose of this course is to explore historic crewelwork stitches within a chronological framework. Students begin by working two samplers based on elements from the Two Birds & a Squirrel design, using them to experiment with stitch and colour. They then apply their own choices to create a fully realised, personal interpretation of the final piece.

Phillipa Turnbull provides the historical context through a series of lectures, while Deborah Wilding leads the practical tuition, guiding students in developing both technical skill and creative confidence.
