Stream our Dunollie FilmA re-imagined version of a previously available design, the Dunolle Rose & Honeysuckle brings to life a collection of 17th century fragments from Dunollie Castle, Scotland.
Created by Deborah Wilding and part of a pair of designs from the same historic embroidery, this vibrant floral spray features a rose, honeysuckle and three balancing leaves in an array of acid greens, all put together in a classical Elizabethan arrangement to mimic the original.
Stitched in a rich selection of thirteen shades of DeVere silks and vibrant Japanese gold thread, this design offers a project rich in colour and texture. Practice Elizabethan Spider’s Web, Elizabethan Braid Stitch, Surface Couching, Ladder Stitch, Herringbone, Reversed Chain, Long & Short Shading, Block Shading, and Split Stitch.

We care deeply about keeping the art of embroidery alive for future generations, and about supporting the talented artisans, collection owners, and arts professionals who help preserve this heritage.
Whenever we can, we donate a portion of each sale directly to the castle, country house, or institution that owns the original embroidery.
These contributions go straight towards caring for and conserving historic embroideries in their collections, and helping to train the people dedicated to their preservation.
