We recommend using a Hands Free Seat Frame with an 8 inch hoop and with paddle base or table clamp. Alternatively you may prefer to use a Slate Frame or other frame of your choice. You will also need a pair of scissors and a thimble if you use one.

Everyone stitches at different speeds and tensions but as a guide, this design should take around 8 hours.

A Christmas gift to myself, I began the day after Christmas. The instructions are easy to follow and though I'm not new to crewel work, there are two stitches I'm new to. The diagrams are very clear. A beautiful kit my winter project.
For someone who’s very familiar with embroidery (and an artist and quilter), this kit is ever-so-slightly challenging. Not in bad way! It merely takes patience to learn the crewel stitches and get comfortable with the method. However, it’s absolutely worth it! In fact, I’d say that the work is meditative and calming, which is a bonus to the end result. Highly recommend!
