Dunollie Feathers Kit

Honouring the Jacobite cause, the Dunollie Feathers replicates a repeated motif featuring the Prince of Wales Feathers.

Replicated from a set of 18th Century Bed Hangings from Dunollie Castle near Oban, Scotland, this design showcases a vast array of fun techniques, stitched in fine Renaissance wools in a beautiful indigo.

Relaxing

I just finished this kit and want to note doing a single color kit is very different. It was easy to pick up and put down during a very busy time. Some new stitches that kept it interesting but overall a calming experience. Great quality as always.

Dunollie Feathers

I am having trouble understanding how to make the 'padded satin' stitch.
I am very happy to have the kit, and look forward working with only 1 color!

Yet another brilliant kit

I have a large number of Crewelwork Company kuts so I can judge well this kit. I have unpacked it and as always top quality. I notice a number of different stitches which are unusual but as always the stitches are describef in tiny detail so anyone even an absolute beginner will be able to finish to w high standard. This Dunollie kit makes me want to visit Dunollie itself. Wonderful.

Dunollie Feathers

Dunollie House is a ferry ride from the Isle of Mull (Inner Hebrides) where I live, and I know it well. I was really excited to see a kit created for Dunollie and I hope it is very successful for the charity. I haven't started it yet, but I've put it at the top of my work basket so it's going to be next. It's quite a few years since I've done a sampler and I've never done one in a single colour so I'm looking forward to doing this one. As ever the kit is beautifully presented with all you need to work it.
