On Thursday last week the whole team travelled to Muncaster Castle to present our recreated Muncaster Bed Hanging to the owners Iona and Peter and also to perform the final colours and design checks before the final motifs are added to the replica embroidery by our consultant embroiderer Harriet Roberts.

Harriet has been working under the expert guidance of Phillipa for over a year now to produce a replica Jacobean bed hanging in preparation for making a kit for those of you with an (arguably certifiable) passion for crewel work to enjoy. The number of messages between Phillipa, Harriet and our team in the office ran into the thousands as design and colour choices were agonised and, at times, argued tooth and nail over!
We are so proud to now be reaching the final stages of development for this kit, which replaces the Glasgow Bedspread as our pinnacle project kit in our crewel work range at the end of this year. And it was a very proud moment indeed for all of us, but particularly Harriet, Georgie and Frankie who have really put the leg work in, when we were able to show the replica embroidery to Iona & Peter Frost-Pennington and their team at Muncaster.
