This design is inspired by images within 16th century embroidery pattern books in The British Museum, London.
Here, our unicorn is embroidered in flat silks, in a distinct 17th century colour blending technique. Another historical shading method is used to create the beautiful colour flow in the borage and the scrolling pattern along the base is embellished with tiny flowers. Accents of of silver 'metal thread' embroidery and added freshwater pearls embellish this very special design.
Suitable for all levels of embroidery experience.
