I love goldwork. Even though it looks so fussy and precise, it’s a forgiving technique. The results are so spectacular.
Debbie Dillow —
I have always admired Goldwork but have never attempted it. I keep moving closer to making a go of it and with the beautiful new ornaments, will give it a try.
Jenny Mann —
I have absolutely no experience with gold work. I am very tempted but it is the initial outlay on supplies that is holding me back. Perhaps I need a starter pack of all the different threads so I could learn the jargon and play about and see how the threads interact and I could sample what’s available.

This work is beautiful. I have used metallic threads in needlepoint and cross stitch, and I have done some beading, but I have yet to try it with Crewel. The photographs are very inspiring. I am very interested in the Gentleman’s Nightcap. It’s on my list…

I admire goldwork and plan to do a project this coming year – it’s one of my goals to learn goldwork.

Absolutely gorgeous, no experience with goldwork but lots of crewel experience! How fun :)

I love gold and gold work! I have been too scared to try to make an embroidery project with gold to this date, however I am a book conservator and I have made Islamic endbands with metallic gold thread in the past!
