I have taken a two/three day gold work class with the Royal School of Needlework and enjoyed it so much. I just ordered the skull cap kit and it has some gold work. I haven’t done any since my workshop and am looking forward to it. Not as difficult as it seems but shows to perfection!

I love gold work, although I am not as skilled as I would like. It would be interesting to try or nue, in particular, as the development of patterns using this technique are something I would like to learn.

It scares me. I’ve never tried it and I don’t know how to begin, so…

Sandra K. Anderson

I haven’t done Goldwork yet but I’m looking forward to it. It is so shiny!

Melissa Ellis

I have no experience with goldwork, but I want to give it a try in 2019 :)

Melanie Maloney

My experiences with goldwork are very limited as it’s not a technique I’ve explored in any great depth. Suffice to say, I completed a small Rajmahal kit many years ago. It may be time for me to revisit this style of embroidery.

Jacqueline Harper

I have never tried Goldwork but am looking forward to giving it a try.

It off all the tours of embroidery hookworm is the one which I always come back to. I love all the glittering threads, and the innumerable ways of using them to create your design. It can be delicate work, but I enjoy the detail, and don’t mind spending the extra time to get it looking just right. I don’t get frustrated nearly as often doing goldwork as I do if I’m doing counted embroidery (though I love blackwork too). I look forward to reading this book, however I come to get it!
