Two Birds and a Squirrel Online Course

The Design
The Feller Frame
Bought recently at auction to add to our private collection, this late 19th/early 20th /Century design fascinated Phillipa because of it's unsual colour choices, the variety and delicacy of the features, and the multicultural influences which have been Anglefied in this charming scene.
During this 10 session course, spread over 12 months, students will, under the expert guidance of Phillipa Turnbull, firstly create their own two stitch large samplers, experimenting with colour, stitch technique, and then, when they are confident and happy with their choices, will continue to progress and add to their final masterpiece, creating this design in their unique style.
Students will initially be supplied with a large colour palette of Appleton's crewel wools, printed linen of the two samplers and of the design, needles, blank stitch charts to fill as they progress, and later additional wool and silk threads, depending on the choices they make during the course.
