Benefitting The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust in Stratford-upon-Avon, this beautiful Elizabethan embroidery has been produced in conjunction with guest designer Alison Cole and will soon be available as our first non-crewel work embroidery kit!
Featuring advanced silk and goldwork embroidery, The Gentleman's Nightcap is based on an original 17th century nightcap held in the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust Collection in Stratford. The replica design was debuted as a workshop project by guest tutor Alison Cole during our recent All England Retreat in May 2018.
Since then we have worked like the wind to create a kit with fully-illustrated instructions and stitch charts so that everyone may enjoy a piece of Shakespearean hand-embroidery history for Christmas. This is our very first non-crewel work kit so we are incredibly excited!
